Guinea hens - adults and keets - Northern New Jersey

Hello! We were possibly interested in getting into Guinea fowl. We have a flock of six chicken. Do the Guineas need a separate area or would we be able to introduce them like you would a pair of chickens. Also can the pair be separated or stopped from breeding if we don't want more than one clutch?

Hello, I only had guineas for 2 yrs, so please take my information with grain of salt. My guineas were always in a separate coop, but they mingled with chickens while free ranging. You can try to introduce them as you were new chickens. I do not think you can separate guineas if you have only two. You can probably form a flock of several girls and several boys and keep them separated in different coops/runs, if you do not want them to breed. Good luck!
