Guinea hens

How often do the hens lay or do they lay like checkens do? Mine just hatched out 10 of her 14 eggs she layed. 2 were duds and 2 cracked the shells but never came out.

Mine lay eggs about every other day!

Guineas lay seasonally. Spring to early fall. They lay a clutch of eggs before going broody and then they take about 28 days to hatch. I do believe the fertility rate on the 1st time they lay is very low. We had well over 40 eggs between 3 girls and maybe 5 were fertile that I know of (we gave to a friend so her broody duck could try to hatch) still waiting to hear if any hatch.

I had excelant luck then she layed 14 and 12 hatched but 2 are spadle legged what do ya do about that. Im new at this and have never seen it before. The checks look good and are eating chick starter they just cant stand up on there feet. Also will she lay again or wait till the fall?
