I didn't get any responses yesterday about this so I'm reposting in the guinea forum.

Yesterday morning I went to the coop to feed my quail and guinea. It did not seem to be any problems but a couple minutes after I refilled the water bowl for my guinea, one of them was upside down in the water bowl screaming. I thought he may have slipped and so I put him back on his feet. He took off back into his hole. I didn't think nothing of it until I heard him cackling again. He was back on his side and appear to be hurt some kind of way (no idea).

I took him out and every time I stood him up (he would not stand up straight) and he would walk a few steps then fall over with his neck bent all the way back.

I think maybe his back was hurt or something. It looks bad for him.

any ideas?

It sounds like some sort of neurological issue - either from an injury or illness. Beyond that, I'm afraid I'm not much help. Do you have him separated from the rest of the flock?

Unfortunately, I ole boy died this morning. I found out why he wouldn't stand up straight and kept falling over. He apparently had broken his wing close to the shoulder. I didn't notice it when I checked him the first time but saw a little blood where the break was. Oh well, things happen but his partner in crime is just going nuts trying to get out. I guess it doesn't like to be in the pen by himself.
He got out yesterday and started reeking havoc on all the un-caged birds I let roam freely in the coop lol. None were hurt just had to play keep away with him. I had to secure his cage so he won't get out anymore.
