guinea laughter

I have about 100 guinea and when they are out in the summer free-ranging sometimes, not often 1 of them makes a noise like a laughing hyena! Has anyone else ever had that happen? I have had guineas for about 5 years.

all I know is, they make noise if you come near.

At one time I had about 50 of those darn things and they roosted in the barn. If I went out after they had roosted they would make that cackling hyena sound, it was deafening, literally had to cover my ears sometimes.
