Can anyone offer me some useful information please. I have 5 guineas. 2 males about a year old. And 2 hens 1 male about 9 months old. So 5. Today my oldest 2 boys both attacked me...again. this is the 2nd time in the last month. This Tim he made my leg bleed. I used a stick to try to keep distance from him and I and it did not work. I tried my shoe to scoot him away but he just wouldn't stop. This went on for close to 30 minutes. And during that time the whole gang of them also attacked my barn cat. I can't have this behavior. They also attack and hurt my ducks have been at least since last summer. They're seperated now and don't free range together. I don't understand why they're so mean and it's not mating season. It's frigid winter here. I hate the idea of keeping them cooped but that's my plan for now. And my hens haven't even started laying yet so there's no nest at all.

I have four males that I incubated and brooded with chickens in my living room, held them each night and they get along great with the ones they brooded with and the 60 others that have been outside with them for the past 4 years. They sleep on a beam in the barn with 11 other chickens. When I initially open the chicken house and 4 attached tractors they like to chase the others for about 30 seconds and then don't pay them any attention the rest of the day. When my cats are out they don't bother with them but, they did see them inside when they were brooding. The cats would actually sleep on the top of the cages. They like to follow our resident opossum and armadillo that live under our shed but get bored with that after a minute or two. I have friends that have guineas and they have never had a problem.
