I know but I was just wandering the basicsWow, you're not asking much are ya? LOL![]()
I think you'd get more Guinea info if you just read thru the threads that are already here, or if you asked specific Guinea related questions. I know there's not many of us Guinea lovers/addicts that have the time to sit down and type an "All Bout Guineas" book this time of year, lol.

Thank you for some actual advice,so they are good in the chicken pen and coop with hens and rooster?and do they go broody and raise keets ok and also can they eat layer pellets?thank you for feedbackFirst of all they are noisy! With that said, their warning alarm has saved my chickens from predators. They are tick eating machines, the main reason I got mine. Good luck.
Thanks for all the good info I will sure keep it in mindIt depends on the personality of the birds. My one guniea hen didn't get alomg with everyone while in the same coop and run. She is more of a loner and doesn't hang out with the other 3 guimeas either. My other guinea hen went broodie and then a possoum got her on her nest. She abanded her nest the week before the eggs were supposed to hatch, I saved and hatched out 3 eggs.
The eggs are good to eat. 2 guinea eggs to 1 chicken egg. The eggs have a really hard shells.
My guineas eat the same as my chickens, I feed layer mash now. They have eaten the pellets. Mine prefer to free range and eat bugs. I got mine as adults last year. Remember when you first get them to keep them cooped up so they know where they live and stay around their new home.
