Hey guys so i have 1 guinea hen in my coop with 5 other chickens. She is the only one expected to lay like with in the time range of now. The research i have done, it says she will lay between march and October but it never says what age. I always suspected it would be 18 weeks, but i dont know. If you have guineas when did your start laying, like how old and what were the signs. IF you dont and just have advice i would love to hear that as well.

Guinea hens normally start laying in the spring following the year that they were hatched. In the more southern states, some guinea hens start laying for a short time in November or December. They usually stop laying after a short period and then resume following breeding season in the following spring.

If your hen was hatched this year, do not expect her to start laying until next year.
