These are NOT french guineas. Could anyone let me know the difference between "normal" and "french"?Thanks!

French Guinea Fowl are larger than normal Helmeted Guinea Fowl by about 2-3 lbs (and were developed to be more of a meat type/bigger table bird),. They are usually artificially inseminated to increase fertility for better reproduction, since their size makes it awkward for them to breed. Also the French Guinea Fowl are only available in the Pearl Grey color.

Loved the pictures in your blog! It was so cute to see how well the keets are letting the children play with them and the dog!

Our adults are being very funny today. They are all over the roof running around and eating ticks that are falling from the big oak we have next to the house. They were also cleaning gutters as well. Too bad my camera's batteries are down as they are being very photogenic today. Oh well, another day.
