Well our neighbor up the road whoo isn't really friendly by an means has Guineas. Well a few weeks ago they ravaged our Garden.
Well this week they keep coming down and eating the chicken feed after I feed my chickens. Well I caught them in the coop and run area today. I closed the door and I'm seriously thinking about keep them any thoughts?

Collect the eggs if the Hens lay any, in case the not-so-friendly neighbor discovers you have his Guineas, lol... then at least you can incubate them and hatch out some keets!

They will probably go home or wander off down the road anyway if you let them out, so if you want them to stay I'd go for the 6 week lockup period to reprogram their brains into calling your place home.

Enjoy

Law on wandering animals depends on the state. Unless the law says they are yours, they're not.

I would prefer to keep them, too, but if your neighbor is already nasty, it may be a bad idea to get them riled up even if the law is on your side. If the law's not on your side, then it's an even worse idea.

Also, you don't want to start a precedent that will bite you later. For instance, if your show goat or favorite horse or whatever gets out and wanders over to the neighbor's house, what will you do then?

I second the idea of collecting eggs, though!

Just some things to think about.
