2 of my guineas are fighting. It didn't seem bad at first: they chased each other back and forth, and there was the occasion feather pulling (but no actual pluck/removal). I kept an eye on them and had to intervene when one got pinned down. I shooed one away and picked the other up-

This worried me because most of my guineas do not like being picked up (with the exception of one sweetheart).

There is blood, on the chest and some around the beak. I checked as throughly as I could and the injuries seem superficial. Nothing deep or scary looking, nothing broken.

I isolated the injured bird (couldn't catch the other one). He is in a large crate with food and water. He is eating and drinking fine. I just don't want to release him and have him attacked again.

Advice?

Do your best to catch the aggressor. Isolating the aggressor has been known to calm it down when it is returned to the flock.

I caught him during feeding. Crated him for a bit and released him in time for roosting. They all settled in for the night. We'll see how things are tomorrow.
Thanks again!
You need to keep him isolated for a couple of days for it to do any good.
