Guineas holding chicks hostage?!!! An update.

my guineas and chickens have always been together,,and like my chicks,,,my guineas are all ages mixed with all ages of chickens,,,and ive always seen my guineas be mean to each other,,,,once in a while it will be chick against guinea,,hehe,,but my guineas are free to go over our little fence and go wherever,,,so i bet its different if their in a pen together,,,,,mine all sleep together too,,,,and i think my rooster has a "crush" on 1 of the guineas,,,,,,,ewwwwy,,,i'll pen up the rooster,,haha

Thanks for all your answers, just an update. Remember that broom stick? Well I used it to shift the pecking order a bit. The guineas were still being bullies so I poked it at them 2 more times. FIRMLY the third time. Then I left it standing in the coop through the wire, right in front of the corner the chicks were in. The guineas would not come near it !! The chicks came out and were able to get to the food and water with little trouble from the guineas. I removed the broom stick that first evening, and put it back a little the next day. It still worked! The chicks were able to move around without much trouble from the guineas. Things have been pretty good now for 3 days. I have not had to use the broom stick in any capacity. I would like to be able to separate them, but I dont have the facilities, yet. They are in a 5'x11' tractor that I moved every 4-5 days w/ just the 2 guineas. But now with the 4 chicks I try to move it every other day. We are bulding them something a little more pemanant.

Yeah, there is a guinea in there too, though he's hard to see through the screen!
