Guineas teaming up on the dog

I hear guineas going crazy outside the door today. Open the front door & the dog is on the porch & 15 guineas yelling at him from the bottom of the stairs. My Australian Shepard quickly entered the house. All the guineas them went on their way to wonder the yard. So guineas might be small but they can scare a dog that spends his evenings hearding cattle & chasing coyotes!

I imagine the shrill noise is enough to scare many animals.

I have seen others post that their Guineas have escorted deer, coyotes and foxes off their land, and I have seen my own male Guineas attacking jack rabbits that are grazing too close to their Hens. Occasionally one of my lazy unobservant barncats will get clocked pretty good if they aren't paying attention to where the Guineas are (especially at feeding time)... but they never get chased and hollered at all the way to the porch tho, lololol

I personally have had mine escort a coyote off the property.

mine chase my pugs out of their run every morning. it is funny. the pugs go to the bathroom, then the birds get out and let them know who owns the run.
