I'm kinda glad I've had a broody to learn from first (who nested in Nov/Dec in Indiana) bc these eggs have had a rough start lol!
Our weather has gone from 70/80F to 30/40F in two days AND BACK and the AGAIN! Well... we forgot to turn on our heat after shutting it off bc of the outside heat, didn't want it running. Oops. It's a good thing it's week one.
And another good thing, I only spent 12$ on the egger eggs. Rest were free/from own flock. So their temp has gone up and down, same with humidity.
We'll see! They are stronger than they look haha
I've even had a successful hatch with power outage, so fingers crossed!
Eta: they weren’t "cold" just cooler than normal bc of where I have them
