Gumbo for chickens!!

i feed my chickens - chicken gumbo from quality feed. Does anyone else use this feed? My chicks love it!!!!

Protein is unusually low... from what I can see it says it's intended as feed and not as a treat.

I also don't agree with the instructions, "6 weeks and up" but it has layer pellets mixed in and the calcium of a layer feed, but I've never heard of a 6 week old laying. Is this feed pelleted or is it a mix of pellets and corn pieces/seeds/etc.?

Well that's good, I wouldn't feed this to chickens not yet laying. Since it's a mixture of different items, make sure they're eating all of it and not just picking out their favorite pieces. You may want to supplement protein because it is lower than most feeds - maybe with some canned fish, meat scraps or a little cat food.

For me there are to many odities. I wouldn't use it.
