Today is the 20th day of incubation, and we have two duck eggs and two goose eggs in the incubator. I would like to have somebody's opinion about our duck egg. When we candle it, it is a little bit lighter than the other duck egg and whenever turned, a big blob of yolk or something moves around. There is a lot of gunk floating around in it, but it doesn't smell. Also, it feels lighter than the other duck egg. However, there is a dark blob in the egg, as if there's a bird inside, but it died because it stopped moving, I just need an experienced person's opinion. This is my first time hatching eggs.

Here are two pictures of the bad egg. Sorry about the quality, it was taken on a phone.

I was also wondering about our second duck egg. There is a large clear, white half oval coming out of its air sack. It has been there for the entire incubation period and there hasn't been any problems, but I'd like to know if anybody knows what it is. There was movement in the egg yesterday, and development seems normal other than that. Here is a picture.

Sounds like the embyo died and you have a blood ring in there, toss it!
