Happy Birthday to my pair of Emus!! They grow so fast and in the last month, their baby voices are gone and they sound like adults.

They are a year old and the males voice started to change and grunt last month. As for my female, I have not heard her boom yet but she also doesn’t make her baby chirps anymore. She has fallen silent, lol. It’s amazing how much they have changed and I am hoping she will vocalize for me soon.

Trust me, you dont wanna rush it. Once she starts booming it's nonstop. I like hearing the bass from a party a few houses away. Windows and door shut you will hear it all the time. You'll finally tune it out, but it will freak out visitors and keep up anyone who spends the night. It's really a cool sound but when she wakes you up at 3am...you'll see
