(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I just ordered my chickens the other day. They should be arriving next week!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
0. Zero. Zilch. None. But I'll have 43 chickens next week.
(3) What breeds do you have?
I'll have 14 Barred Rocks. 28 Red Rangers (Meat birds) and whatever they send me for the freebie bird.
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com?
The Google machine. When you got chicken querstions, Google knows to just send you here.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Cigars! I love cigars. Hence the avatar I picked. But pretty much anything hobby farming related. Flying airplanes and whatever else I can get myself into trouble with. Cleaning out my pool is NOT one of my hobbies, yet I spend quite a bit of time doing it. Weird how that works. My job is the same way. Maybe I can quit my job, drain the pool and just put chickens in it. That would kill two birds with one stone....pun not intended.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I have a wife, a 1 year old daughter, two boys - 11 and 9. Two Weimaraners named Hugo and Hannah (neediest breed I've ever seen in my life. And two pigs. That have no names....because we'll eat them some day, and everyone knows you don't name things you're going to eat.
