my chicken sat for 21 days and hatched four of the prettiest chicks i have ever seen .
everything was fine for two days then i look and i cant see the chicks
went up the garden and found them all dead they were close together
the poor mother is running around like a lunatic if any of my other chickens or ducks
evan looks at her she chases them down and wont stop till she catches them
and gives them a good peck. she evan chased my large aylesbury duck
and he ran for his life.
could the mother have killed them or the rest of the flock
they looked like they were pecked to death. this was my first broody
and her first clutch
next time i will separate them until fully feathered and introduce them back to the flock
they were soooo pretty

Sorry for your loss, one of my broody slowly killed all of her 11 chicks once as well, she would pick on one until it died then choose another.

I'm so sorry about your loss.

From your discription, of the behavior of the hen, it sounds like the flock probably killed them and she continued to go after them after they were all dead.
