Guys or Gals?

I picked up these 3 barred rocks last night. Guys or gals?

I can't really tell in the first picture, but I'd say the others are roos.

Hmmmm...how can you tell? I've only ever had one barred rock,so not familiar w/ the breed.

I agree, all three are cockerals... the tail feathers tell me, and they've also got developing combs and waddles... for thier size. I've got 3 BR hens, one which is 24 weeks, and two which are around 12 weeks. They sure are pretty!

You can tell they are boys by how light they are and they have saddle feathers growing and buy the size of thier combs/waddles

Oh bummer,then they will have to go! I THOUGHT so,but wasn't sure.

Yep ya got ROO's with my bantam barred babies I couldn't tell by the waddles at first they seemed to be developing at the same rate on both but I could tell by the color the roo's are lighter in color than the hens...
