gypsie colored faces

So a gypsy face is sort of black? (still learning here!)

Here's 2 from Jody's eggs--do they have it?

Thanks!

Becky, those have regular skin. The gypsy face has almost black skin...very little to no pink/red is visible.

OT..is that an updated pic of the 2nd one? I still see mottling.

Hmmm...one of my BA's fits that description. She has a little red in her comb, but her face/wattles/combs are almost all black....Don't know if I'm understanding right what gypsy means, though....

So the skin itself is black--got it--

Yep, I took those pics today. Do you think they're girlies?? Of all the ones that hatched I think I may have only 1 roo--Lefty--he's white with a tail and 1 nice tuft on---can you guess?

The left side!

Sorry to get OT!

The first one looks like a girl..the second one could be a boy. I like 'lefty'..what a cutie.

Cjeanean - are you sure it's a BA and not a black sumatra? I don't know much about the gypsy face, but I guess it has something to do with the pigment in the skin.

I'm pretty sure it's a BA....has the state vet out and he didn't tell me otherwise. They have small combs and wattles, very small, and green sheen to their feathers....All black...

Does it have a single comb or pea comb? Both breeds are black with green sheen. How old are they?
