Gypsy Moths have a purpose! They’re chicken toys/snacks.

I cleaned out the bug zapper today, knocking all the fried moths of it it with a stick since it was getting pretty caked with them. I had several chickens around my feet snacking on the bits as they dropped.

I bought a solar bug zapper and hung it in the run. As best I can see, it’s totally useless. But I’m sure fried mosquitos are yummy!!

I can't imagine a yapper would have enough juice to do much running on solar. It takes a good amount of power to zap a bug. The one I have is plug-in and I can hear it going off from inside the house, 100 yards away!
