Hi. Sadly I heard about and got involved with this site because my chickens were attacked. One is alive but injured.
I don't know much about chickens...we bought 10 isa browns a little over a year ago. We have 3 left. Hopefully our injured one will make it. I am honestly tempted not to have any more after this. I just can't imagine what they went through and it seems that it happens way too often. Poor things!
I thoroughly enjoy gardening and somehow started and nurtured 698 different plants this past winter. It was overwhelmingly exciting!

Do your chickens free range, or do you confine them to a covered chicken run? You may want to check out the predator section on BYC, to find ways to better protect your birds.

They were free range but we made them an enclosed pen. We let them out in the am and put them up at night.
Our long term goal was to make a run...
