had a hen go broody and just hatched chick. can i leave hen and chick

hen went broody and hatched chick. can i leave them in henhouse or do i have to seperate and for how long?

I had a hen hatch two chicks two months ago. I didn't separate them and after two days, mama and baby were outside with the others. I did lose one chick to a hawk but never had a problem with the other chickens bothering them. Just had a broody hatch another chick yesterday and I plan to leave them be and do the same.

I'm not an expert, but I would suggest if your chickens free range during the day, leave them be, but if everyone is kept inside, then separate. JMO. Good luck!
