I call the police they come out well that's just stating a fact its not a DIRECT threat cuz she didn't say she would USE it on you she has got to be the DUMBEST smart person I have ever had to deal with I literally feel like im fighting with bugs bunny here, duck season, rabbit season and so on cept im the one getting my bill blown off the authorities literally are doing nothing and say they cant even if they wanted to there is no evidence that WE can gather cuz mine is only third party I have photographed her and the dog videotaped her and the dog recorded conversations and they say its all third party it cant be used yet THEY wont sit here to watch her to catch her and about the shooting of the dog it can only be done ON my property

I'm not sure where your cops are getting their information on laws, but a video taken by you or a pic taken by you isn't third party it's called coaborating evidence to back up your claim. Gee the cops use it on their vehicles all the time. Third party is someone else telling you and you telling them. Call a lawyer and file for nuiscense, intimidation, harassment, slander and damages. Any jury is going to hear that tape and call that a threat. Geez sounds like you have some lazy cops. Or maybe they are related to her.

Catch her out of town and slip a Rooster and a couple hens inside her house, then she will have sumpen to complaine about.

I would put small wire fencing so the dog can not pull the hen under. If a paw was in my yard I would shoot it,or atleast hit it with a garden tool, lol.Sorry for your loss and frustrations.

Around here people who make false reports(child abuse, animal stuff) over and over get fined.

Well sorry about the punctuation, I'm using an iPod so I gotta switch pages to get to the commas and stuff.
Also I was on the phone with 2 lawyers and the watch comander today, the lasers told me they would send a letter but it can cost up to 200 dollars everyone wants money nowadays, really it's only a letter.
The watch comander said again all the can do is take a report and add it to the mile long case I have open on her, but it's still only he said she said there is no evidence and another animal very well could have pulled it under the fence into her yard and her dog did pick it up. Also here is the GREATEST part if my day, I talked to her at the fence and she asked me what I was talking about there was no chicken in her yard..........blank face......... I turn say good day and go back inside.
I have no idea what to do now except keep my chickens in the coop till I can afford more fencing.
I know I prolly sound like I'm whining and just being pessimistic but I have tried it all they keep telling me the same thing there's nothing we can do with annoying neighbors

Just a thought, I know I heard it from another poster, but my sister put electric fencing wire on the outside of her fencing around her yard. If an animal on the outside of the fence pushes to try and get through the fencing they brush against the electric wire and get shocked. She has shocked the neighbors dogs, who run loose before and also several wild animals as well. As of yet she hasn't lost a chicken.

Just an idea

I also agree to keep documenting everything and contact a lawyer to see if you have any small claims options that you can take against the neighbor.

go to the local cop store get a tazer or just use a pellet gun and shoot the D*** dog next time you see it out of their yard. Call the cops tell him the dog attacked you and you shot it in self defense.

OP...So sorry for your frustrating circumstances! I would have to agree you'll need some electric fencing.Maybe until you could get some, only let your chickens out while someones around? So far,I have been fortunate...most everyone on my road keeps their dogs controlled. The cats could be another problem later though,if my two old tomcats pass. They pretty much keep the strays out of the yard.
It must be so agonizing to deal with someone like her...I have low tolerance for drunks. If the dog should happen to come close enough, I would definitely catch it and bring it to the pound.Sounds harsh but since owning birds, I've realized how irresponsible people can be with their pets.If she can let it do something like that...it can only get worse.
Again,so sorry for your situation, but try to keep a cool head about you...especially when dealing with Animal Control and such...it will always prevail and even if it doesn't at first? You'll come out looking right, and she'll come out looking like she is,...out of control.
Hope something works out for you and sorry about your hen
