Had to cull my first bird.

I had to cull one of coturnix. It was a little tiny thing about half the size of the others. It was doing fine at first but over the last couple of days it started going down hill. Tonight it started crying and poop was oozing out of it's butt. So I felt it was something that had to be done. This is the first time I have culled but it was the right thing to do.

Sorry you had to cull a bird.... but congrats you had the courage to do so.
I'm not sure what I'll do when the day comes that I have to cull.... what a sad day indeed.

I'm sorry for your loss you did the right thing though!

I had to cull a chick that just hatched last night, it hatched and acted like it had brain damage, and wasnt keeping heat, so I had to cull it and made me so sad to kill such a cute little baby...ofcourse it had to be a tuxedo (my favorites). But luckily it's sibling also hatched and is perfectly fine!

Its hard to cull the ones you dont want to cull but sometimes ya gotta do it and its the nicest thing you can do for them
