Their crops were full of what seemed to be rotting grain foods. The skins had split on their crops with bleeding sores about the size of an orange. We see no similar problams with our other 25 chickens. Our first two losses and we just hated having to kill these pets.

Can anyone please advise what we have done wrong?

Thanks to you, Ronnie or cederpost

If they were are the bottom of the pecking order, maybe the more dominant hens weren't letting them eat the fresh food, so they found what they could that had fallen down cracks etc and gone mouldy?

Other then that they could have had impacted bowels, then the food would have gone in but had no where to go after that and just festered in the crop
