I'm glad to hear that she'll be okay! My parents have a boxer, whom I absolutely adore! He was diagnosed with cancer (like leukemia in people) and there's nothing they can do. He's only 5, so it's really hard! Glad to hear a happy ending!
Glad she is feeling better. I'm surprised that the pinched nerve was in her neck. As a pinched nerve in the last couple of joints in the spine can cause bowel or bladder problems. But it sounds like she is on the road to recovery.
the vet said an injury like hers in no uncommon in dogs that play rough - Daisy has a habit of doing that thrashing head thing when they play with their stuffed toys and there have been times when she has knocked herself of balance with thrashing so hard and fast.
She is on bed rest but with Daisy it is not going to be easy she is a very high energy dog - and never misses a chance to play rough.
I imagine the bowel problem was her way of dealing with the pain - I am not sure, but the meds he gave her to calm her stomach have seemed to help and he said that in a few days if her bowels are not normal I can give her some Pepto at home.
But thank god it was something fairly minor and no major surgery or meds or needed. Just some good old fashion TLC.
Thank you all for the helpful advice and well wishes for her. I will keep you all posted on her the next few days.
