Today while I was at the local feed mill there were the usualy patrons hanging around. Some farmers in there coverhauls and a few others. Some were just hanging out chewing the fat, maybe even gossiping. Anyway in walks a woman no one had ever seen before. This got everyones attension, a newbie to the area.

The woman inquired about chick feed. She said she moved to the country from the city and her new place had a coop so she went and got herself 25 chicks. Good deal I said.

She then went to tell me that all her chickens were either all hens are all roos but she didn't know which. I asked her why she thought this and she said she had picked each bird up, looked at there privates and they all looked the same so they have to be the same sex.

This statement caused a roar of laughter from some of the old gueizers.

Anyway I explained to the woman what the deal was and answered some more questions she had and gave her my phone number in case she needed any more help with her chickens.

It just reminds me of me moving from the city to the country 15 years ago. I thought it was funny.

I'm sorry, I would have laughed... there's only a few things guys CAN'T do...... can't help cussing at the playoff games, can't EVER admit we were EVER wrong, and hold in laughter.....

If it's any consolation I would have explained it after i dried my eyes though. These stores always tickle me funny. But I love that so many people are returning to our early pioneer ways so to speak

Truth is I was laughing to but held it in until I reached my vehicle. Shame on those men.
