Had to take the rest of the eggs from my hens!

I put all the eggs in a cage underneathe a heating lamp which is hot enough to keep them warm and alive. Will this suffice? Because I cant afford an incubator right now and I cant give the eggs back to the mommys because they are killing all the babies!

Unless you make a homemade incubator which is a super cheap alternative to an incubator, i think the only choice would be to find someone close by to incubate them for you

Its not just consistent heat, but also humidity that is needed for the best chances of hatching.

I made one for like $15. Free cardboard box, $6 light fixture, $9 temperature and humidity gauge. I cut a window in the cardboard box and taped a rectangular piece of glass from a picture frame to create a window and the "door". Then just used some plastic tupperware for water storage for the humidity. Cheap and easy.
