HAHA the breeder sent me the wrong chick LOL

i ordered a Vorwerk and as i didn't know much about them i was like thanks and took what i received

after a few weeks in i got curious and started googling

the chick i had was buff down colour now i know it should be black

and then the neck hackles are not black now its feathered

i emailed the seller and they said i possibly got a buff Sussex

they gonna send me a vorwerk this time LOL

Well....I'm not familiar with either breed, you being from the UK, but I think the bird pictured is rather similar to a Buff Orpington, possibly a cockerel.

Hope the next bird is the one you want!

defo not a buff orp

i had buff orps and thats not a buff orp

you cant see in the picture well but its got a broken columbian on its neck hackles and teh wing tips and tail is black

all suggesting its a buff sussex

its not a mistake my breeder makes often but she did tell me she sorted my chicks at 2am

my next order the vorwerk will be free and i get to keep this one too

and pullet i think too

when i ordered them i ordered straight run but begged to try for pullets

and when i called the breeder the first thing they said oh no do i even want to know
i sent you cockerels again didnt i

thats when i said nope thats not why i called

Ha the same thing happened to me with my RIR chicks the feed store manager said that they were frizzles and we just figured out that they werent frizzles a couple weeks ago. Your bird looks like a buff orpington to me though. Possibly a rooster....

Splash Orpington? BTW Orpington roosters have very stout legs, actually the hens have much thinker legs than any of my other hens except the Marans.

the british orp and usa orp are very different

what i have is defo not an orp i have raised orps

thats would be a nice thing to have but i don't think buff leghorn is around here in UK

im still with buff sessex as it has a black tail black wing tips and very tiny black hackles
