Hahaha I'm INVISIBLE!

i have to agree with all the bikers out there it doesn't matter what size or type of scooter you ride you are always in stealth mode. theres a saying among harley riders "loud pipes save lives" this isn't always the case either, thats why i call it "stealth mode". aparently most of these morons are deaf as well as blind.
i was on my way home from work one evening, and this guy pulled out right in front of me only to turn right a few yards up the road. i was so mad that i followed him home, i informed him that the next time he darted out in front of a biker and they followed him home he was likely to get his @$$ stomped.

making it safer for bikers one moron at a time,

I'm always afraid when bikers get near, they have such a small footprint vs a car, and if I leave too big a following space, some unhappy driver behind me always likes to go drive around and tailgate the poor motorcycler! I like to pretend they are the size of semi's, I'd hate to run into one because its a person sitting on a motor without a cage!!!

i keep a few pennies handy, if we get tailgated and dawn's icy stare doesn't make them back off ; usually a few pennies tossed over my shoulder does the trick. i've gotten pretty accurate, i can get windshield within one or two tries.

cheers

I know cycles here have gone to riding two wide when they are out with someone. Most are good riders and it is a shame that people in other vechicles won't allow them more room. But I have found that they also like to tailgate me and I drive a van-I would think they could see that easy enough!

Keep safe out there!

Okay my biggest prob at grocery stores is not the baskets across the isle. It is the kids running wild!!! I can't stand to see kids running through a store. My hubby was in a grocery store one nite and this women had 4 kids running wild. They were climbing up the shelves, eating fruit and throwing the donuts that are in the bakery area. Well the manager was getting upset but didn't say anything. My hubby took matters into his own hands. He was at the end of an isle (looking at little debbie snacks that I won't buy him) when the kids started running past him and bumping right into him. They were wild~so he stuck his foot out and tripped one of them! The mother came over and started to jump all over my husband. Not a good idea. He let her have it and she called the manager over who sided with my husband. She stomped outta the store with her 4 kids screaming in tow. The manager thanked my hubby.

We see alot of riders do the "two wide ride" here also. Unfortunately, we'd only had our scooter for 4 months (got her in October) and we didn't let the cold weather slow us down on riding, alot of people here put their rides up for the winter. Skip will ride as long as the temp is above 20 (has a pair of heated gloves) and it isn't raining or snowing. The coldest I've ridden has been 32 degrees. Nope, I'm not hardcore, I just add several strategic layers under my leathers and never really now it's cold.

Lunachick,

Our little Dakota also has that cloaking device but it isn't mentioned in our manual either. When out in it, I always have the headlights AND the foglights on and fools still don't see us.
