Hahaha I'm INVISIBLE!

I gotta add more to this topic.

When I'm in my van or my big white pickup (GMC 3500) people
get outa my way. When I'm in my little red Nissan pickup people
act like I'm not there. There is something to be said for a big grill
and headlights in your rear view mirror.

Lunachick,

Glad you survived the stupidity of the idjit, unscathed!

That is sooooo true...Skip and I are proof of that one...

I had an old guy pull out right in front of me one day and I was on
a Suzuki Intruder, a big bike. I pulled up to him at a light, ready to
kill him, but saw he was at least 80 so I just screamed. Him and his
wife were a little scared to say the least. Bikers must develop
the sixth sense for bad drivers.

Mandatory driving tests should be required every 6 years, regardless
of age. My 86 year old grandfather drives better than most 30 year
olds so I can't say only seniors should be tested. Everyone should be
retested.

I'm not a street rider, but I'm a dirt rider, and we motorcycle people have to stick together!!
There are too many idiots out there that don't care or remember that they are behind the wheel of a deadly machine. My old boss rides a Kawi to work every day and I have horror story after horror story. I would always worry when he was late for work.

PS to RR- I'm stealing that "Run for the hills"!!

My dh rides a motorbike to work 9 months of the year. He has stopped taking the county road to work b/c of all the people coming from the side roads pulling out right in front of him. He finds it safer to ride on the busy mulit-lane highway. I thought 'that' would have been more dangerous, but he says it's not.

Apparently --you are not the only one invisible--just fortunate you didn't get smucked.

What kills me about grocery store shoppers is when they leave the carts in the middle of the parking lot!!!!!! Come on people! What are you afraid of???? Afraid you might burn a few calories by walking the carts back into the store or taking them to one of the million cart returns in the parking lot. I have seen carts flying across a parking lot and crashing into the side of a car because some moron is to LAZY to return the cart to where is belongs. People don't care about other people's property and people don't care about the person that works at the store that has to go all around a 2 acre parking lot to collect all these carts.

Can you tell this drives me crazy??

Oh and I hate it when people cut me off too. I think it's really funny when they cut me off and then don't even go the speed limit or they end up turning on the next road down.

SO IT IS YOU! You're the one with the headlights in my rear view mirror ALL the time!!!

I tend to try to dive with lots of distance between me and others since sometimes a clean shiny two door red car sticks out from the crowd of mud and grime encrusted western washington cars and just calls for negative attention.

Someone once even purposely swerved though a mud puddle after a rain and after I washed the car and I got sprayed with nasty road gunk!!!

How about the goobers that have to stop a moving lane of traffic to get in the turn lane? They can't get in the turn lane and then slow down, no that would be too smart! Or the ones that decide to do one nice thing that day (of course they are always the car in front of me!) and they wait until the light is green and hold up traffic to let someone pull in front of them from the gas station or gracery store or hardees or wherever..why couldnt they wait and have their kind moment during a red light?!! Yes, I am an invisible driver too Lunachick, drives me nuts too, lol!!!

I am guilty of leaving my shopping cart in the parking lot. I do push it between parking spots and where it won't roll though. I have kids and there is no way I am walking away from my vehicle with them in it to put a shopping cart in the thingie 10 parking spots away. I am also not walking them through the parking lot while pushing the cart any farther than I have to.

That is another invisible problem we have. People are so busy looking for the parking spot right at the door to pay attention to people walking to and from their cars. They especially do not see the 3 foot tall walkers.
