I was sitting in the coop with my girls while hubby was fixing the run for better shading. I grabbed my iPod touch, went on YouTube, and I played a rooster crowing with the volume on max.
He actually thought it was one of our girls.
He is very adamant of no roosters in our flock. The look on his face was priceless. Of course he told me that we are not keeping the crowing chicken.
All my girls were very quiet looking for the rooster too. Then I played them the egg song. Maybe the egg song will get them in the mood to actually lay instead of practice in the nest boxes.
