My name is Suzan, and I am the night time keeper of FFA chickens lol. My little sister *16* has been raising broilers for local and major shows for almost 2 years now and we love them! Im joining because we have a special chick this batch that we really dont want to part with. Shown (his/her name) is a very active and cuddly chick that is practically kitten in our eyes. He is the first to run over and demands to be held and cuddled. We missed a whole night, when he was 5days old, and I did not hear the end of it. He peeped his little heart out till I picked him up and snuggled him close. He fell asleep and got very upset when would put him back down. Sooo ended up carrying him around everywhere that morning lol. They are now 11 days old and we have decided officially to either make our home safe for the chickadee or find him a good home, but Im not sure how to go about this or if it is even possible. So I have come to find information from those more experienced and wiser in the ways of the chicken!

Sounds like you got a spoiled baby on your hands!

My honest advice is to put him back in with the rest of the chicks and let him be a chicken- he will be much happier in the long run. It may take a few days but believe me he will adjust and do fine.
