Half Breed

I've cracked some eggs open to check for this blastoderm thing and a bullseye. I don't know much but from what I've read and seen it looks pretty close. The circle is perfect, no disfigurements at all, with a darker orange ring around the white circle but I thought this was suppose to be a white ring around a white circle.

I guess the only true way of figuring this out is to collect some eggs and incubate them a while. Waiting for my 6 White Layers to hatch. They are 11 days old and kicking up a storm inside those eggs.

I have three obvious girls and two boys. After they mate you can see the male’s corkscrew shaped penis hanging out of him. Also, one of my girls often will “fake mate” with one of my other girls and she does the whole tail flip thing too. Maybe what looked like sperm was the white uric acid birds make instead of urine. I think she is a slightly mixed up girl.

Here is what my bullseyes look like (I have hatched their eggs so I know they are fertile).

I agree that if it were male you would see a penis. Perhaps her hormones are out of whack or her ovary is damaged. That can cause a female duck to act like a male. Some even get male plumage. I forget the name for it.

Or could be she's just more dominant. Some take longer to lay so I wouldn't worry about a female not laying at 6 months, especially if you are in the northern hemisphere.

Hello..Ducks are sexual..I have Drakes and my Hens breed each other too. Watch when they breed the males penis is about 4 inches long and wiggly..It will be exposed..
Possibly you have a Drake..I don't think if it's a Hen it has any reproductive issues...
Sounds more Drake to me...He is only 6 months old so he is not in adult plumage yet..Or she is just immature and will lay eggs as she gets older..Keep waiting and watching..
