Hey y'all! I have muscovy eggs! Ready to go too DAY if someone wants them. I have had outstanding success with shipped eggs so far from this pen. Anhyone who has bought eggs from me please feel free to chime in here... lol. Hey, is this thing on??? tap tap.

For sale, a half dozen muscovy eggs. Daddy is black pied, hens are blue eyed white, barred pied and black pied. You can see more pics of them on my site. http://pattycarson.com/poultry.html
If
you want to buy other eggs from that page and combine shipping, that is fine. Javas, for now, sold out for a week or more, Bev Davis, same. probably barred olive eggers too,
Most available, blue olive eggers, bourbon red turkeys, mille cochin project and an occasional white showgirl egg. $3 each

If you want these eggs. PM me. If these exact eggs get sold, I will post it on here and take orders for more eggs as they are laid.

Shipping is $12 for medium flat rate box, $15 for large flat rate box. including delivery confirmation.

Hit that PM button now and let me know if you want these eggs! Get 'em while they are hot! If you haven't heard, there is pending legislation that will make owning these illegal if you don't already have them by 3/31. It is possible they will hash it out over time so backyard flocks are exempt.

Ha! I was going to PM you but then I saw you had an auction going. So I have to tell you that ALL THE EGGS ARE VEINING!!!!

LOL yes I am shouting. I am so excited! I never did get to see the birds so thanks for posting the pic. Yep all eight are veining and strong. I am incubating on their sides because I read that for duck eggs that is better. Can you tell me if they need to cool for 15 minutes like goose eggs or am I ok with just spraying them every day with warm water?

I have the other eight in the bator that you sent Monday. So with the results of the first batch (fingers crossed) I might have Muscovies everywhere!

Thanks Patty--I was and still am worried about the law that passed about not being able to get Muscovies after the 31st of this Month if you don't already have them. I hope they have amended that but I haven't gotten on to read the updates. I received a response from my Senator and he said it passed. Sheesh. Glad I was the first one to get them from you! And I am hoping that I get some of those white pretties you talked about.

That is great news!!! I haven't hatched any in the incubator. I have let them set their own eggs. Selling the last three from their clutch today! yay! I think most serious breeders let them cool down every day and spray them. I can't tell you from personal experience, but that is what I read on here the most. All in favor, say AYE! Aaaaayyyyy!
Good luck with both sets! I am thinking most of the eggs you got were from the white hen and the black pied hen. A few from the first set might be from the barred hen though, maybe... Here are the girls. sorry the black and white one got her beak cut off! In real life it is pretty and normal looking.

Oh my gosh. She is even prettier than I pictured. I am on the.cellphone so it's hard to write but yahoo! !!!

Ahhh this is better, now I can see a big pictures instead of that tiny screen. They are really beautiful. Now the girls look to be a fair good size. I have three Muscovies and my hens aren't that big, the Drake is though.

So far the Muscovies are my favorite. They don't make alot of noise and are flighty or skittish. Not sure if that is just mine or Muscovies in general.

Those eggs were big too. I didn't know they laid that size. They are bigger than my one Pekin hens and they are going to be great for eating and baking!

News flash, as of today, two of the three are broody. Last one out is the white girl. This will probably be my last muscovy auction for a while.

These exact eggs will be going into my incubator today. I saw the drake breeding with the barred hen yesterday, so hopefully there will be some new eggs soon if anyone is interested.

Hi, just thought I would put in a plug for these eggs. I just candled my 2nd batch and everyone of them are veining too. I am really impressed with the fertility (and shipping) of these eggs.

All 16 are developing! A few are faint, but they are there. That means they were all fertile. Thanks Patty. I am going to get that flock after all!

I've just started reading about Muscovies. Have you found any good references for incubating the eggs? If so, could you describe the process to a know-nothing newbie?

Onthespot, how big are your mature birds?

Do you ever sell started birds? Ducklings or maybe a breeding pair?

Thanks!

I just sold all the ducklings from the clutch just hatched. Last three went home at ten days old. These are not my birds. I am watching them for a BYC friend for a while. She said I could hatch, sell, eat the eggs, whatever, she just wanted the birds back when they settled in their new home. I hope she doesn't want them for four weeks, because Sunday I just set some cotton patch goose eggs under one of the girls that just went broody! I need four more weeks with just her if nothing else. The ducks, i'd say they are average size. Not the humongous show ones, and not scrawny looking either. The white girl is very refined and has a beautiful face. The other two girls are "average" and not in the Lake Woebegone sense. The drake is very good natured and he looks after his girls and does not pester them. When they are laying he sits in front of the dog house with them. When it comes time to hatch, he is right there at the door, interested, and looking forward to the new arrivals. I pulled them as soon as they hatched, so he never got to see them walk or anything. He is a very good drake, rating for ease of ownership and management. I keep the muscovies in a pen by themselves, but their owner kept them mixed with chickens and no problems. They are a very easy going flock.
