What about the older lights that aren't LED? I have a string of those too that are also half burnt out.

I'm not so sure on those. I don't know if they have fuse, it's been awhile since I've had any. I don't think they do. I think on those, it's usually finding the problem bulb and changing it.

Usually a bulb.

One time I save about three sets or so from the rubbish bin. They have a fuse in the plug. That might be worth changing.

That's where you use a bulb tester. It's just a little gadget that you plug the little light bulb into. They're small - scotch tape roll size - and cheap. You can probably get one at the dollar store.
