I've hatched duck eggs before but this is my first time with chicken eggs. They went in the new incubator at 2:00 p.m.on March 5th. Going by hours, that puts us half way through day 22. No wobbling eggs, no pip, no noise. I did, reluctantly candle a few yesterday and noticed some movement in a couple eggs. Humidity is at 65 and has been since day 18. Should I be worried or just keep waiting?

The incubator reads in Celsius. It's been 37.7 to 37.9 the whole time which is 99.8 to 100.2

None yet. Thought I saw one of the eggs wobble a bit last night after I posted. Keeping my fingers crossed

You can hold a egg to your ear and lightly tap on the big end with you fingernail. If the chickens alive it will chirp at you.

We just hash some eggs a couple weeks ago, only one pipped on day 22. We then found out that usually the first day that you put them in as counted as day one, so that may have affected your counting . All of the rest of the egg started hatching on day 22 late at night through day 23. So really it varies. But if you candle them and you don't see anything it's most likely going to be normal because the chick is so big that you won't even see the outline of the chick at all- just darkness .
