I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of this hatchery or if they know anything about it. I was also wondering if people(not the people that work there) are aloud inside the hatcheries. Because if I could get chicks from the Hall Brothers Hatchery, it's only about a 10 min. drive from my house.

I have come across it in my searches for hatcheries nearby in the Connecticut area. My brother called them twice and got no answer. He then left a message and they have yet to return his call. 3 days ago! Not what I'd call good business practice.

perfectly polish, If they are NPIP (national poultry improvement plan ) they are not allowed to let people view the hatchery, because of disease control. Hope this helps.

Hi foghorn, maybe try to give them another call, I called today a got an answer, but it sounds like they get chicks from other places, but since it is so close to both of us, maybe it is worth another call, I know they have all differnet kinds of chicks, and hatching eggs, so it might be worth a try. Did you find any other hatcheries in or around CT? I'm not sure if you have ever been to Salem Feed & Grain but they sure do get a lot of chicks durring March-September, including chickens, ducks, pheasent, guine hens, turkeys and a lot more.

If it is just a 10 min. drive, it would be worth driving over and seeing what you can see. I go pick up chicks at Cackle hatchery which is about a 45 min. drive from me. They have a front office where you can come in and buy chicks, and I think their hatching operation is in back of the same building. I would think they would sell to people dropping by, if they have chicks on hand.

I like that they have hatching eggs. Did they have minimums? I will definately give them another call. They are the only one I have found in Connecticut. Thanks for the heads up on Salem Grain and Feed. I get out there once and awhile to visit Salem Nursery.

No, I don't think they had a minimum on hatching eggs or chicks if you are picking them up. Salem Feed and Grain should be getting in some chicks soon, I live down the street from them on Oldcolchester Rd. Maybe we'll see each other there one day

You'll know it's me because I'm the one with the 2 crazy dogs, lol, an Australian Cattle Dog and a Border Collie! Good luck with your chicks! Oh yeah if you are interested we might be selling a few of the ones that hatch next week.

I just called them half an hour ago, and the phone was no longer in service?! Anyone has ordered from them recently? New phone number please. Many thanks!
