I am new to chicken and don't have any yet. Mostly because I'm living in two locations and am in college (hopefully 3-4 more semesters!!).
I live in Lowell and Greenwood Indiana.
In college for photography and prefer photographing animals and plants.
Sadly, I don't think I will be getting chickens any time soon due to the above and finding out the HOA doesn't allow chickens.
I've been reading Raising Chickens for Dummies and HIGHLY!! recommend it for everyone, experience and new. I'm only on chapter 2 and have learned so much.
Now I'm researching how to change HOA rules along with all kinds of chickens in Raising Chickens for Dummies (also school stuff, just not as much...).
Any tips on trying to change HOA to allow chickens? It's a fairly new subdivision, our house was built in 2001 and houses are sort of close together (compared to what I'm used to). I already know roosters won't be allowed and that's okay.
