OK Kathy, here are my 3 hatchlings from your stock--now which Blue Roo to keep? one has nice lacing, one has blue but not lacing, one has white edged feathering on his neck--also included a pic of my lone splash girl. All are very nice tempered birds & I do want to continue this line.
Opinions, please?

One is slimmer in body, redder in comb & bolder overall, the other one is stockier, but not as dark blue or well laced.

Last pic is of the little girl--she is so sweet!
The darker roo is the one with the white edged lacing on his neck.

Hey if anybody wants to give a guess on whether or not the other blue one IS, in fact, a roo or a hen, feel free!
It is the one on the right in the first pic -- 3rd pic on the 1st post--
I sure can't tell, the comb & wattles are so much more developed than the ones on the splash girl--but not as developed as the ones on the dark blue roo--

nobody has crowed or laid an egg yet. They are 4 months old now.
Time will tell!

I would guess that the one you were questioning is a hen. If you look, she has a different body shape and holds her tail different.

ETA: To be honest the only one who looks like a roo to me is the one in the first pic on the left. I looked twice but it's the only one that I see out of them that has some saddle feathers.
