  1. Just curious as to what those of you do if you are hand turning your eggs but need to go somewhere for more than a few hours?

As long as they get turned 3 times a day they will be fine, The eggs wont know what time your turning them. No need to stay in 24/7 to turn eggs !!!

I've turned eggs in the morning, after I got back from being out and before I went to sleep. I've turned twice a day and still had good results from local eggs, I can't say for shipped.

Until I found BYC it was normal to turn eggs 2 times a day. Seeing reasons behind it, it makes sense and now I know better and hope I have better luck with hatches.
