handmade wooden feeder- paint inside??

    No. If you used a silicone caulk you should be alright. In my experience most paints will come off the caulk especially where it is flexed a lot, like chickens pecking the food off of it. The chickens will with a little time wear the paint off the wood as well. If it is going to be used it where it is fairly dry I would not have bothered with the caulk. Just a dump and a thump to get the old feed out of the cracks every once and a while.
