Hands on hatching and help

You can peel off the entire top of the egg over the air cell. That will allow you to see if the chick is still alive and, if so, when you can safely peel away the membrane. It looks different when it's empty of blood.
The chick is alive. I applied coconut oil on the membrane (pix shows halfway through application) and put it back to the incubator. How long do you think I should wait before further assisting /applying more coconut oil?
I could not see or understand if the position of the chick is a good hatching position.

Wait until the blood vessels you can see are empty and translucent. Once they are use a sharp object (I use a new wood screw) and carefully poke a hole in it then peel it back, SLOWLY. Stop and apply a drop of hydrogen peroxide if it bleeds. Once you've peeled it all back, DO NOT tip the chick out, he will kick his way out just leave the egg on its side in the bator.

You would only need to reapply if you see the membrane turning white or worse brown.

That said, I'm willing to bet the chick is malpositioned. I don't see the beak...which should be very visible on day 24. Has it even pipped?

It has not piped, we did an emergency hole and further peeled away.

Don't touch any further until the membrane has absorbed the blood
After more than 12 hours the blood is still not absorbed... I'm starting to think that maybe the egg age is somewhat less than I thought?!
I don't know of any other reasons why it would not absorb the blood... The egg does not look as good as yesterday, less movement and the membrane falling in towards the chick. I saw the beak and it's well positioned towards the membrane where the air pocket was...

If you candle the egg can you see any white space or does the chick fill what's left of the egg?

Is there a blood vessel directly where the beak is?

The egg is completely filled, the chick had feathers and all too.
There is a blood vessel next to the beak, I thought it was still too risky to try to pierce where the beak is.

The chick died, I was too slow to do something about it.
Do you know why? Pics below after I penetrated membrane since it died
