Hands on hatching and help

I learned in the water of the incubator. You don't really want to follow instruction manual. It can lead to trouble with an egg. Put a little bit in especially if your having rain storms.it can go to high with little or no water at all. Once eggs our in incubator it's harder to drain water out. And eggs will go to hot and cold to fast and may effect your hatch rate.

It's pretty hot here right now. Low humidity out. 10 perecent I think. :)

Ok so i just got my second set of hatching eggs. I also recieved my hygrometers. I set both incubators at about 50 percent humidity since its so hot and dry here right now. Also the air cells looked on the bigger side and i read in the article aabove higher humidity for bigger egg cells. Im happy to report i could actually see the egg cells in these ones though. Hopefully the others arent bunk.. i guess only time will tell. How often should i turn my eggs? The yellow incubator, the one im about to use is manual turning. Someone might have told me already but i cant remember for the life of me. Thanks. :)

Oh I forgot to ask. If I'm manually turning them and have to open the incubator frequently should the humidity be higher to make up for it be opened alot? Thanks

At least 3xs a day is the goal. If you can get in 5xs, do it. Over the average I usually get in 3xs a day. No, you don't have to worry about compensating for humidity prior to hatch time. Yes, let your air cells guide you and you'll do good. If by day 7 or 14, you don't see enough growth (or too much) readjust for what they need.

Thank you can hear several already, not seeing movement but good to hear them with most of them darker colored eggs I can't really sea into.

outta be fun fingers in a splint and wrist wrapped cause slipped trying to catch the 6 week olds outta the hen house when we moved the secure coop

Do I need to turn them at night as well? I was thinking 3 times a day and 2 times a night to total 5 times or do you mean 5 times during the day? :)

Ok @RubyNala97 I have updated pics!!!

First one is the one that hatched white, but is feathering in gray

I THINK this is my little dancer...lol I am not sure which of the two grays with vaults is my avatar, but I think it's him/her....

Notice the coloring around the neck....

Looks brown...partridge????

My other gray/silver...or "Blooie" as we tagged it.

All of the whites ended up showing at least one spot of "paint" some more than others.

One of the "blacks".

So, this one has me stumped.....lol I thought awe, just a paint...but when I got it out to take pics I noticed the black "paint" spot on the wing was actually....

Brown and black. One single feather. I could not get as good of a pic as I wanted. It's weird.....lol

My other "black".

One of the whites that has a tiny light splotch

Another one with just a touch of black

And another....

The most prominent paint out of the bunch

Apparently I missed one of the whites/paints...lol Cause I'm a pic short. Hard to tell these buggers apart.
