Hands on hatching and help

Oh, thanks but I can do a search....no point asking people to take up their time for something I can do just as easily.
Already got it for you!

Okay,
Candling days...numbers
Incubator temperatures....numbers
Humidity readings - numbers
Air cell measuring - numbers
Egg weights - numbers
Lockdown days - numbers
Egg shell temperatures - numbers

Do you guys realize that you are dealing with a woman who has to count the dots on the dice when we play Monopoly? Who has to grovel to find someone to play Cribbage with because I have to count the dots on the cards to find the "15s". Whose idea of balancing the checkbook is putting it on the Lazy Susan on top of the salt and pepper shakers? Numbers ain't my friend!

So, eggs due in the 16th. I just pulled and opened one egg which was a quitter. Opened it to find nasty bacteria on the inside of the shell and a tiny ling.
I put the shelf liner down and candled the eggs. Most look great (movement w/good air cells). There's a couple with small air cells though and a few that already are shadowing. So, small cells vs shadowing... Ideas on what to do??

How long after an external pip do you help? Last night around 6:30 it externally pipped, and now 17 hours later it's made no progress.

I check them around 18 hours if there is no progression. Usually I just widen the pip to check on membranes and what I can see of positioning. If everything looks good and the chick is still strong I put them back in and wait until 24 hours and then I start an assist.
