Are you having some... problems... here in GJF section of BYC? Then use this handy-dandy guide to sort it out!!
(If you have any tips, PM them to me and I will add them!)

First off, some often-used terms:
BYC- BackYardChickens
RP- Role play
LOL- Laugh out Loud
GJF- Games, Jokes and Fun
xD- (Not a term. It is a smiley.)
...........................................................................[

Next, some How-to-Do's!
Color:
Highlight the text, in the posting box, that you want to be colored.
Then, with it still highlighted, click on the Orange 'A' on the right of the size box.
Click on it.
Something like this should come up around your text:
Code:
[COLOR=blue][/COLOR]
And for the instruction below, use this:
Code:
[COLOR=COLOR GOES HERE]Text you want colored goes in Here[/COLOR]
Next, see where it say's COLOR GOES HERE? Erase that, and choose any color of the rainbow! There are some other colors, too, like limegreen /lime that you could use. I had a color index with all the colors, but half stopped working once we switched over to this new BYC.

Smiley Face:
In the posting box, over on the side, there will be, going vertically, these smileys: :) :( :D ;) :/ :p :lol: :rolleyes:
and then it say's, MORE. Click on MORE, and these smileys and more will pop up: :lau :duc :th :ya :yiipchick
Click on one to choose it.

NOTE: ALWAYS put a space between smileys, text and other smileys, or the BBcode will not work!!!

Hiding a Spoiler:
Look just below the title box, in the 'Tool Bar.'
Find a Shaded-in speech box, which is left of a piece of paper.
This should pop up:
Code:
[SPOILER=Warning: Spoiler!][/SPOILER]
Lastly, just fill in where I wrote with your own text!
Code:
[SPOILER=Title of Spoiler Box]Spoiler You Are Hiding Goes Here[/SPOILER]

Nice. However, the default code is not BBC, it's something else (I don't remember what, but it's a lot simpler), only people who have changed the coding to BBC would need this, and they probably already know.

:p True, but even us nostalgic types who switched back to the BBCode editor need the occasional reminder.

The rich text editor is for wimpy people! (Just kidding. I don't judge people by their text editor of choice.)
