Hanging feed and waterers?

Our run waterer ( with vertical nipples poking thru bottom ) is hung from a rafter. Using chain makes the height infinitely adjustable - a handy feature as the birds are growing. I’ve spent some time observing the birds using the waterer (I was suspicious of those nipples) and I believe they do best (and spill least) when they have to stand straight beneath the waterer and reach a bit.

btw, that’s a lovely setup you’ve got there !

Those horizontal nipples will work well with an internal heater in the winter.

So it doesn't need to be hung :D
Nope, and shouldn't be as the sway can make them harder to drink from.

Just set it up on blocks.
