I'm putting the finishing touches on my new coop. I'll have 9 chickens in it and I was thinking about getting a hanging feeder/waterer. What I'm wondering is will the chickens bump into it and make food or most importantly water spill everywhere?

oh wow, yeppers, I have a small coop and someone pushes another one and water spills making the house smell musty even in the summer. So mine sits high on a block of wood against the wall under the nest box. That way no one poops in it! Good luck, lots of people do have them hanging, I've just had bad luck.

Both my feeder and waterer are hanging and stay pretty clean. It's important to hang them high enough. They should be level or even a little bit higher than the chicken's back, to where they have to reach for it just a little. Stays lots cleaner that way.
