hanging plants in chicken run

Hello. Has anyone tried growing feed for the chickens in a upside down hanging basket. I've seen tomatoes and read that other vegetables can be grown upside down so why not for feed. It could be raised and lowered to allow it to grow ?? Any thoughts Thanks M.W.

I think that's a great idea! Just as long as the plants get enough light & water it should work well. What kind of plant are you thinking of using?

I agree, that's a great idea, but remember that chickens can accomplish seemingly impossible feats when it comes to food

I have zero experience growing chicken food or growing upside down plants, I was thinking leaf lettuce but not very nutritious.I'm sure there has to be something suitable M.W.

My chickens like to pick at our blackberry bush, but I've never tried to grow it upside down.
